PreK at Maranatha is a place where preschoolers learn through play, form meaningful friendships, and are encouraged daily by dedicated teachers.
Our program puts your child first in an environment where they are free to be themselves, learn about Jesus, and have fun. Every classroom is led by a dedicated teacher and full-time classroom assistant.
We love our PreKers — they have a love for life, a joy for learning, and a genuine care for those around them.

PreK Overview
We believe that preschoolers learn best when they are connected to their classmates and encouraged by their teachers. That is why every classroom is led by a dedicated teacher and a full-time classroom assistant. This ensures that every child is seen, heard, and safe. We love our PreKers—they bring a love for life and a pure care for those around them that inspires us every day.
A Day in the Life
We believe that childhood is not a waiting room for "real school"—it is where the most important work happens. See how we use our unique spaces to let children explore, climb, and create.
Where the Climbing Wall Meets the Classroom
We believe that learning should be fun, and play is the best way to learn.
Our PreK Center Room is a "one-stop shop" for creativity, featuring a climbing wall and a reading tree designed to expand young imaginations. We know kids need to move, so we prioritize time in the gym, on the new playground, and out on Inspire Field to "get the wiggles out." This isn't just recess; it's where social skills are forged and motor skills are mastered.

Kindergarten Readiness
No one is too young to learn, and for us, learning is an adventure.
That adventure runs through math, pre-reading, coding, STEM, art, music, and PE classes. While the atmosphere is joyful, the results are serious: our PreK students consistently outperform incoming kindergarteners based on MAP testing data. From "reading readiness" and phonics to hands-on science projects, we give your child a head start.
Core Adventures Include:
- Bible & Social Studies: Understanding their place in God's world.
- Math & Science: Project-based learning that sparks curiosity.
- Language Arts: Phonics awareness and handwriting.
- Specialist Classes: Art, Music, PE, and STEM.
At Maranatha, we nurture our youngest learners' language development through an integrated approach that weaves together phonological awareness and Biblical truth. Our Pre-K students discover the joy of language while building a foundation of faith.
Through expert teacher modeling and structured support, children:
- Recognize and create rhyming patterns
- Identify beginning sounds in words
- Blend sounds together to form words
- Break words into individual sounds
- Identify ending sounds
- Learn word families through colorful poems and songs
- Build letter recognition with shape and color associations
- Develop pre-reading skills through interactive posters
- Connect learning to God's word through Bible stories and verses
We complement these foundational skills with alphabet knowledge and exposure to rich language, preparing our curious explorers for reading success while fostering their God-given love of learning. Each day brings new opportunities for discovery as students engage with colorful materials, interactive songs, and meaningful activities that celebrate Jesus's love for them.
Biblical Integration
From the first story time to the final prayer, we help students discover they are known and loved by a big God.
Little Hearts Pointed Toward a Big God
Faith isn't just a lesson we teach; it is the air we breathe.
Our students have dedicated Bible learning time, but it goes deeper than that. Our teachers ensure that everything—from a science experiment to a storybook—is taught from a Biblical worldview. We take the natural awe children feel and direct it Above, helping them understand they are known and loved by their Creator.
Small Hands, Big Impact
We are teaching our little ones to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Our students are excited about the world, and we channel that excitement into the "Beyond." Service here is hands-on: it looks like a cereal box drive that culminates in a joy-filled "Domino Run," or raising money to buy goats for communities abroad. Even inside the classroom, students take ownership through roles like line-leader, weather helper, and prayer leader.
