Faith & Service

At Maranatha, spiritual formation and academic excellence are inseparable

We believe that the strength, intellect, and knowledge our students gain are not meant for self-elevation, but are tools to be actively utilized in the service of others. We do not view faith as an isolated subject, but as the comprehensive, driving worldview that compels our students to lead, serve, and impact their world for Christ.

Chapel

Chapel is a foundational, non-negotiable component of the MCA experience.

Weekly chapels include a time of worship, prayer, and a message from age-appropriate speakers.

Service

Service is integrated into the student experience from early childhood through graduation, ensuring a continuous trajectory of character development.

PreK: Service begins with the simplest, most heartfelt acts of giving. Students collect cereal boxes for local food shelters and gather to pray over their donations together, learning from their earliest years that generosity and faith go hand in hand.

Lower School: Service begins with foundational acts of compassion and stewardship. Students participate in guided classroom projects that support local community partners, learning early on the tangible value of helping their neighbors.

Middle School: As students mature, service learning expands to broader community impact. Students engage in structured, grade-level service days focused on local ministries, intentionally shifting their focus from self to community awareness.

High School: High school students must take complete ownership of their service. We require formal, independent community service commitments, ensuring our students graduate with a proven, actionable track record of servant leadership.
