Stacy Huether has been a crucial part of Maranatha these last twelve years, and we wish her nothing but the best as she steps into the next season God has for her. Having started at MCA in 2014, Stacy has been ensuring the Lower School Learning Commons (LSLC) is the best in the business and a place kids want to be.

Having moved from Minnesota to her husband Kurt's home in South Dakota when the Huethers were starting their family, they soon found themselves back in Minnesota nine months later. Stacy and Kurt felt such a strong pull to be a part of Living Word and to put their kids through Maranatha that they moved everything back to MN, even though it was not easy. "To this day, we know in our hearts it was what we were supposed to do."

Stepping into the world of school librarian began for Stacy on a volunteer basis, where she worked with several other volunteer moms to help run the ship. Her hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and she was soon offered the job to run the LSLC full-time.

"it proves to people your heart. When you volunteer and do something because you care, I think it shows what kind of a worker you are going to be."

Reflecting on all that God has done for her and her family over the years, along with all the twists and turns along the way, Stacy said, "When you walk out that calling in your life, it's not always easy [...] but then now you see the fruit of it. I think about the obedience and how great our kids turned out," Stacy teared up, "and it's because of the influence of the school. [...] So the decision to leave—it's a life-changing decision. But, again, there is peace and a knowing, and I know it's the right time."

Stacy Huethers do not come by every year, and we are so grateful to have had her these last twelve years. Even though she may be leaving the position, Stacy expressed that she is not leaving the family—she looks forward to coming back from time to time to stay connected and is excited to see what God does next.
