Parents often have to make important decisions based on one thing: childcare. Childcare, or the lack thereof, can influence what events you attend when you attend church or even where you go to school. At Maranatha, we have an outstanding before/after school program that gives parents freedom in their schedules and peace of mind in knowing their child is well looked after.

For Kindergarten, before-school care starts as early as 7:00 am. Students can be active and play in the gym with our gym teacher, Mr. Campbell, or stay in the cafeteria for games and coloring with our Lead Lower School Paraprofessional, Mrs. Brandstetter. For either option, students are monitored and well-looked after.

After-school care, called “X-Tended Day,” begins immediately after school is out for the day and goes until 5:30 pm. You can pick up your child at any time during X-Tended Day, but their location will vary based on the time of day. Students must also be picked up by 5:30.

  • 3:10-3:50—music room for monitored free play and snack time
  • 3:50-4:50—outdoor recess (weather permitting)
  • 4:50-5:30—main room

Dropping your child off for before-school care or picking them up from X-Tended day is flexible to your schedule. If it works best to drop your child off at 7:30 and pick them up at 4:30, that’s perfect! If you need them here as early as possible (7:00) and can only pick them up at the latest possible time (5:30), these programs fit you.

Signing up for before-school care or X-Tended Day (or both!) is a breeze and easy to manage. Our goal is to take the weight of finding childcare off your plate so you’re free to make those important meetings, hit the gym before work, or allow yourself time for a long commute. No matter your situation, we do the work so you can focus on and feel good about what’s most important: your child.
