Our service learning initiatives give students age-appropriate opportunities to put their faith into action and serve the broader community.

Service is a vital component of the Maranatha experience.
Every Lower School class participates in at least one service-learning opportunity during the school year.
These age-appropriate experiences allow students to actively put their faith into action, shifting their focus beyond themselves and toward the needs of others.
Our students engage in diverse service projects designed to develop compassion, generosity, and strong stewardship.
Past Lower School initiatives have included supporting local organizations, collecting essential items for community partners, serving older adults, honoring veterans, and participating in various community outreach projects.

We don't view service as a stand-alone, check-the-box activity.
Instead, Maranatha intentionally connects service projects with classroom learning and biblical formation.
This integrated approach helps students profoundly understand that their academic learning and personal growth should ultimately lead to a meaningful, positive impact in the world.

Our Lower School team is ready to meet your family, answer your questions, and show you first hand what sets Maranatha apart.
