Portrait of a Partnership

Shared Goals. Shared Success.

At Maranatha Christian Academy, partnership is central to student success.  It’s a shared commitment to work hand-in-hand as we guide your child through academic and personal growth. Together, we help them grow in the understanding of the God who made them as they grow in intellectual knowledge and develop skills that help them live out their God-given calling.

Our Shared Commitments

The word “partnership” is used a lot in education, especially among private schools. You’ve probably seen it several times as you’ve searched for schools in the Minneapolis/NW Metro area. But have you seen it defined? Do you have a clear picture of what it would look like to partner with a school in your child’s education?

Families considering Maranatha should know how we work together with parents and students toward common goals. We believe that it’s better to be on the same page early than to hope to get on the same page once a family is already enrolled.

That’s why we’ve created the Portrait of a Partnership.

Before we explore the attributes of a successful educational partnership, it’s important to acknowledge that, as much as we want every child to excel, our educational model may not be the right fit for every family.

So, let’s take a moment to clarify who Maranatha may not be the right fit for:

  • Families who are not aligned with a Biblically grounded, Christ-centered approach to daily living.
  • Families who see the school as the primary provider rather than a partner in discipleship and learning.
  • Families who are unwilling to collaborate respectfully or receive feedback.
  • Students who have disrupted the learning environment at other schools.
  • Students who are significantly below grade level.
  • Families who expect to have influence through giving.

So, what does a successful partnership at Maranatha Christian Academy look like?

Our Portrait of a Partnership outlines the six key commitments shared between home and school.
