Student Leadership

At Maranatha, we believe in nurturing Spirit-driven leaders from an early age.

Through Student Council, teaching opportunities, and Safety Patrol, our students discover their voices and learn to serve their community.

Lower School Student Council

We believe in cultivating leadership early.

Students in Grades 3 and 4 have the opportunity to join the Lower School Student Council, where they are empowered to lead by example, contribute fresh ideas, and shape our school culture.

Members collaborate to plan and promote schoolwide events like Fall Fest, Homecoming, and Spring Splash, building strong organizational and communication skills.

TEDD Talks (Teaching, Educating, Discipling, and Deploying)

Our student leaders don't just organize events; they actively teach.

Through our TEDD Talks program, Student Council members prepare and deliver short, impactful lessons to other Lower School classrooms.

By speaking on topics like self-control, kindness, and perseverance, students strengthen their biblical understanding and grow as confident, servant-hearted communicators.

Safety Patrol

Safety Patrol offers fourth graders a hands-on opportunity to grow as servant leaders.

Trained to carry out their duties with attentiveness, maturity, and compassion, these students help care for the well-being of their peers by supporting safe routines throughout the day.

It reinforces the core MCA value that true leadership is about serving others well.
