The 2026–2027 school year will begin on Monday August, 24, 2026 and end on May 29, 2027.
- New international students should arrive in Minnesota no later than August 16, 2026, approximately 10 days before the start of the school year. During this time, international students will acclimate to their host homes, adjust to the time change, attend a 3-day orientation (8/18–20) and a get-acquainted outing, take placement tests for math and English, choose course schedules, prepare for classes, and attend back-to-school events.
- Returning international students should arrive in Minnesota no later than August 19, approximately a week before the start of the school year. If a returning student is playing athletics, they will need to arrive by August 16. Returning international students still need a few days to adjust to the time zone, move back into their host homes, prepare for school, and attend back-to-school events, including an orientation on August 20, 2026.
