2025 Senior Capstone Speech

Each spring, our Senior Capstone Speech Competition gives students the opportunity to share their stories and faith while communicating truth with grace and courage. It’s one of the most meaningful and anticipated traditions of the year here at Maranatha Christian Academy.
As part of the capstone experience, every senior writes, rehearses, and presents a speech in front of their peers. From that group, five finalists are then selected to deliver their speeches in front of the entire high school.
The capstone speech is far more than a public speaking assignment as students are encouraged to reflect on their personal testimony, faith, and walk with God as they share the highs and lows along the way. Through vulnerability and honesty, they point to Christ as the ultimate source of hope and transformation. Each year, these speeches serve as a powerful reminder of what it means to live with purpose and pursue God wholeheartedly.
Our 2025 Capstone Winner, Emily Y., exemplifies what it means to live out faith with grace. Emily shines brightly as she leads with both strength and kindness.
2025 Runner-Up, Ashley Y., also made her mark as this year’s Valedictorian and Athena Award recipient. Ashley’s poise, confidence, and servant-hearted leadership continue to inspire those around her.
Congratulations to Emily, Ashley, and all our seniors for sharing their stories and glorifying God through their words.
