In Mrs. Osberg's "Investment 101" class, students are learning how to invest and apply methods into practice with an investing game.

Guest speakers play vital roles within a classroom by providing students with real life application to the material they are being taught. "Investment 101" students were able to experience this application as Mr. Schneider came in to speak on investing in the real world. Students were able to examine different companies that are successful and what to be cautious about when looking to invest. Mr. Schneider went over stock evaluation and how to differentiate if a company is increasing or decreasing before investing.

After the helpful tips and information that students learned from the guest speaker, they are equipped to apply these methods to their classwork. As Mr. Schneider pointed out, investment has lessons, but the slow and steady approach is the best way to invest when seeking long-term growth. The best takeaway from investing is getting started early and that those trends are your friend.
