Teachers US (Grade 5–12)

Mrs. Fabian has been a part of the Maranatha Christian Academy community since 2018. She describes the journey that brought her to MCA as one of the most powerful “God moments” in her life.

Prior to joining MCA, Mrs. Fabian taught fifth grade at Columbia Heights. At the start of that school year, she felt God impress on her heart that it would be her final year there. The message was unclear at first, but later that year, her husband received word of his deployment to Kuwait. It was a difficult and uncertain time, especially knowing that she couldn’t manage teaching at Columbia Heights while keeping her children enrolled at MCA.

In what she considers a divine alignment, MCA’s fifth-grade teacher at the time announced plans to step away from the classroom in the spring. Mrs. Fabian was offered the opportunity to step into the role—allowing her to continue teaching and keep her children at MCA. She considers this transition not just a career move, but a clear sign of God’s faithfulness and provision.

Mrs. Fabian is passionate about speaking life into her students, praying with them, and helping them grow in their personal relationship with Jesus. She loves teaching fifth grade because students are at a developmental stage where they can understand spiritual truths and begin to cultivate a meaningful faith of their own. Her hope is that what they experience in her classroom lays a foundation they’ll carry well beyond fifth grade. (read about one of her projects here!)

Looking ahead, one of Mrs. Fabian’s dreams is to create what she calls the Blessing House—a home that offers a safe and peaceful place for people in need. Whether they're going through a crisis or simply in transition, guests would be able to stay without cost and find rest, support, and serenity in a Christ-centered environment.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Fabian has a love for musicals and music with a good beat—anything that gets her singing and dancing. One of her favorite travel destinations has been Dubai, which she describes as “amazing” and “the cleanest place I’ve ever been.”

At her core, Mrs. Fabian is committed to personal growth and strives daily to reflect more of Christ in her life. Whether in the classroom or at home, she continues to seek ways to love others deeply and live out her faith authentically.
