At Maranatha, STEM isn't a single class. It's a track students can build a high school career around. From their first line of code to a finished CAD model, students tackle real problems with the same tools used in college engineering and computer science programs.

Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a nationally recognized program that provides hands-on, real-world learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Designed to engage students in problem solving and critical thinking, PLTW courses encourage innovation and collaboration while preparing students for college and careers in high-demand fields.
An industry-recognized, College Board–aligned pathway that includes AP Computer Science A, giving students a head start on a computer science degree before they ever set foot on a college campus.
The course emphasizes object-oriented programming and design using the Java programming language. PLTW is recognized by the CollegeBoard as an endorsed provider of curriculum and professional development for AP® Computer ScienceA (AP CSA). This endorsement affirms that all components of PLTW CSA’s offerings are aligned to theAP Curriculum Framework standards and the AP CSA assessment.

Nationally, computational resources are vulnerable and frequently attacked; in Cybersecurity, students use virtual labs to discover key concepts of the field.
This course raises students’ knowledge of and commitment to ethical computing behavior. It also aims to develop students’ skills as consumers, friends, citizens, and employees who can effectively contribute to communities with a dependable cyber-infrastructure that moves and processes information safely.

A hands-on introduction to biomedical science for students exploring a future in healthcare or research. Students delve into activities like designing a prosthetic arm as they follow the life of a fictitious family and investigate how to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease.

Our dedicated college counseling team works strategically with each family to navigate the competitive admissions landscape, optimize standardized testing, secure scholarships, and identify the university programs that best align with each student’s unique gifts and career aspirations.
From Advanced Placement to college credit, Maranatha helps students start college ahead. Maranatha's students have the opportunity to receive high school and college credit through Advanced Placement (AP) courses, an on-campus Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program, and an Associate of Arts (AA) degree program in partnership with Bethel University. These opportunities provide significant academic, competitive, and financial advantages for our graduates.
Maranatha graduates leave prepared to engage the demands and responsibilities of adulthood. Through our senior capstone initiatives, students conduct rigorous independent research and formally defend their worldview and findings before a panel of educators and professionals, proving their readiness for the demands of adulthood.
Foundations of Aviation is Maranatha's entry point into flight and aerospace providing students an introduction to aviation history, aerospace engineering design, and the principles that keep aircraft in the air. It's the foundational course for students who want to go further into aviation-specific study.
