The time of year had come where we got to see 43 Kindergarteners with red gowns, caps, tassels, and big smiles on their faces walk across the stage for graduation. We worked hard this year, and we are excited for first grade!

This year, we got to carry on our parade tradition. Our parade was joined by Kindergarten graduates, Senior graduates, fellow students, supportive parents, and even Stomper had a graduation cap on. What a memory-filled day together!
Both sets of students prepared for their special nights throughout the year, and they were ready for their next steps, either first grade or their futures.

It has been a tremendous year of growth for our kindergarteners. They grew in their reading, worked through story problems that involved adding and subtracting numbers, represented numbers with manipulatives, learned about the history of then and now, completed science experiments with worms or motion, and much more.
We grew spiritually as we focused on learning about how to be a Child of God, as we all wear Crowns of Honor. As well as learning more about how to take the lessons from our Biblical characters into our day-to-day lives.

During the ceremony, the graduates recited 26 Bible verses they learned this year, one for each letter of the alphabet. They worshipped together, singing "Praise" by Elevation Worship, accompanied by our lower school music teacher, Mr. Yan Ashe.
The students also highlighted a few things taught in Language Arts and Social Studies by singing our academic songs. Every student shared what they want to be when they grow up, and we know that God has big plans for every single one of the graduates.
One of my favorite things was seeing how old they look in their gowns and watching how much they have grown and will continue to do so. The Kindergarten teachers are very proud of them!
The ceremony ended with the Kindergarteners receiving their diplomas and enjoying a picture slideshow of some of our favorite school year memories.

As our students move into first grade, we are praying that they will continue to build their lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ here at Maranatha Christian Academy. The teachers and staff know each student is called to make a mighty difference for the Kingdom of God.
Congratulations, Kindergarten Class of 2026!
