Daniel Herzog, class of 2021, was chosen by Bethel University to be a part of their Innovation Scholars team, where he got to work directly with NASA on bringing to market a groundbreaking Full-Spectrum Infrasonic Stethoscope. Very few students are chosen to participate in this program, and even fewer still get the opportunity to work with an organization like NASA.

It was such a blessing to be a part of it."

Having sat down with Daniel to discuss his role on the Scholars team and what it all meant to him, he is grateful to have been given such an opportunity. Taking what he learned in his college courses and then applying it to an actual real-world situation opened his eyes to how business flows outside academia. Daniel called it one of the best opportunities he could have had to prepare him for life outside college.

Reflecting on his time at MCA, Daniel credits Maranatha with having prepared him for what he stepped into with Bethel's Innovation Scholars team. "We would do presentations all the time," Daniel said, reflecting on his time giving 8th-grade English book talks and social studies presentations. Even though these presentations were about things like historical figures and literature analysis, Daniel recognized that they were teaching him how to be comfortable and confident in front of others.

Looking to the future, Daniel has been hard at work on a handful of business projects he is passionate about, but he is keeping the door open for whatever God might have next. He is grateful for the opportunities that have come his way through his time at Bethel and the preparation he received at Maranatha that launched him into such a highly successful college career, and he is excited for what is next.
